Yes. Due to a carrier complex in the formula, the SST coating attaches to any surface — soft furnishings, hard surfaces, metals, plastics, fabrics and porous substrates. Surface versatility is one of the key advantages of organosilane chemistry.
SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
The process is food-safe and water-based. It uses a natural acid formulation with no harmful residues. It has been independently tested and approved for use in sensitive environments including food preparation areas and healthcare settings.
Our process is water-based and made with a natural acid. The surfactants contained comply with the biodegradability criteria laid down in Regulation EC 648/2004. This ensures minimal environmental impact and aligns with NHS Green Plan sustainability priorities.
The applicator is specially designed to the exact micron, ensuring treatment particles don't linger in the air. This ensures respiratory safety and a fast 5–10 minute drying time. Standard fogging leaves airborne particles that pose respiratory risk; our SST process bonds directly to surfaces.
PATHOGEN COVERAGE
Bacteria, Fungi and Viruses. The SST coating provides broad-spectrum efficacy across diverse microbial classes including hospital-acquired infection pathogens, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, all enveloped viruses as defined in EN 14476, and fungal species prevalent in healthcare environments.
UK-based BluTest Laboratories completed the latest Gold Standard COVID-19 Vaccinia testing in April 2020. The product achieved Log4, resulting in a 99.99% viricidal reduction score. It is effective against all enveloped viruses as defined in EN 14476:2013 + A2:2019 Annex A, including all Coronaviruses and SARS-CoV-2.
COMPLIANCE & STANDARDS
The surfactants contained comply with the biodegradability criteria laid down in Regulation EC 648/2004. This is the European standard for surfactant biodegradability in detergents and cleaning products.
Complies with Modified DIN EN 1040, Modified DIN EN 1276, and EN 14476. Also recognised with international standards ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). EvoTek holds NHS supply partner status.
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Yes. The sealant is bonded to the surface via covalent organosilane chemistry, so further chemical and physical forms of cleaning can be carried out as normal. The antimicrobial layer is non-leaching and is not removed by standard cleaning protocols.
5–10 minutes. This is significantly faster than standard fogging methods. The specially designed applicator delivers particles at the exact micron, ensuring rapid bonding to surfaces and minimal disruption to operations.
The Smart Surface Technology provides continuous, non-depleting antimicrobial protection for up to 336 hours (14 days). Unlike conventional chemical treatments that require frequent reapplication, SST — as a Non-Depleting Technology (NDT) — remains active between applications while standard cleaning continues as normal.
